Launching Nordstrom Rack’s first website and mobile app.

The Project: I was part of the team that launched the first app and website for Nordstrom Rack. The experiences combined the Nordstrom Rack and HauteLook (a popular flash sale site) shopping carts so users could purchase from both sites using a single checkout. This was a benefit for users because it made it easier for them to reach the threshold for free shipping.
I led the user experience design including the visual style guide used for the website and apps. I also oversaw the work of two other designers assigned to the project.
The designs are over a decade ago and perhaps look dated now, but at the time it was featured as an Editor's Pick and part of the "Best Apps of May" in the iTunes App store with users opening the app daily to check out the latest flash sales.
